On June 8th, 2024, the HEFO organization participated in World Ocean Day commemorations. Their goal was to encourage Zeila-based community groups and cooperatives to take action towards creating a healthier planet and more equitable society.

The theme was “Catalyzing Action for Our Ocean and Climate”, emphasizing the need for concrete steps to address interconnected ocean and climate challenges.
